Dear Girls: hilarious

Ali Wong’s Dear Girls is so hilarious I couldn’t do crunches at the gym and just burst out smiling listening to her jokes. I think audiobook over hardcopy for this one, for sure, because she lands her jokes (with the timing, with the oomph) all so well in her narration. When she speaks to her girls (as this book is written as letters & life lessons collected for her very young girls) a more gentle voice comes through and Ali Wong is extremely down to earth and wholesome and funny and yeah I recommend (although there are parts that will be like ‘what the hell am i listening to’). LOVED IT easy 10/10 to pass time. Some big issues come through as well and I think she balances the finer things, more emotionally gentle things very well.
